In 1957, Leonce Millet realized his dream of owning his own business. Economy Brick Sales began as a business located on the porch of his home in Weber City. Leonce began by selling bricks from the Hammond Baton Rouge Brick Company while still moving houses with his father. The business was operated from this location for two years.Soon Leonce realized the area's need for a light-colored brick. He found this brick in Texas and began a relationship with Reliance Clay Products. This created a need to transport bricks, and Leonce realized the need to relocate his business near the railroad.He purchased a small house near the railroad and turned the land around it into his brickyard. Future Mayor Nelson Roth was present to help Leonce open the first boxcar. It was not long before Economy Brick Sales purchased a truck for deliveries.
